What Is It?

The Johnson Sound. An archive of all the recordings I (Gavin Johnson) have contributed bass to, the music I’ve made, and the bands I’ve been in.

It’s also a home for photos, press clippings, flyers and videos.

Why?

I had recordings, some dating back to the early nineties, on old formats like vinyl, cassette and DAT that I wanted on a format more modern, so I could easily share with people.

Where I’ve taken audio from the old formats, I’ve tried to improve the sound by using simple mastering tools. Any released material remains as per the original masters.
